Opening Your Parable

I was studying with a famous author by buying one of his courses online. He said open with conflict. So I thought of some opening biblical conflicts that would start my short or long story out. This also can be a demonstration of how one can take up where a story leaves off and turn the true parable to make a new fictional one.Key: the minus sign - means a negative or sad viewpoint. the plus sign + means positive or happy viewpoint -+ means both.

From the story of Queen Esther.
-What if Haman wasn't judged and executed.
+- What if Queen Vashti did not refuse King Ahasuerus. What would have become of Queen Esther?

The Lives of the 12 Apostles of Jesus
- What if Peter sunk then what would have happened to his mother in law.

To add your own story openings, comment.
